Transmisión

Audiovisual exhibition. Valencia, Spain, (2025-2026).

Transmisión departs from a photographic archive made by Pedro, the artist's great-grandfather, during the electrification of Spain (1930s–1960s),  documenting the construction of high-voltagetowers across the Valencian Community. What remains of him are the photographs, a few technical annotations, and a handful of objects.

Rephotographed and displaced from their technical origin, the images become nodes within an interconnected system: steel towers and cables as metaphors for the flows, material and immaterial, that shape our perception of territory.

Discos por fase

Handmade vinyl record, (9 min 50 sec). Printed in Berlin, Gemany, (2026).

The soundscape from the exhibition Transmisión now becomes something tangible: a hand-printed, hand-cut, single-sided transparent 180g 10-inch vinyl, released in a very limited edition alongside the exhibition’s photographic works.

Discos por fase runs 9 minutes 55 seconds and contains the sound that could be heard in the gallery through bluetooth headphones. Its title refers to the insulators on high-voltage towers, whose shape and size resemble those of a record.

Developed in response to a photographic archive of high-voltage towers, the piece extends the original archive into the present. Rather than closing it, it expands it by adding sound to the story. The work is noisy, built from field recordings, contact microphones, analogue and digital synthesizers, reverb chambers, and electromagnetic frequencies captured with antiradios. With no pattern-based rhythmic structure, it moves through different phases or scenes, treating landscape, infrastructure, and the body as resonant matter.

Each record includes a photograph printed on matte paper that has been pressed against the turntable’s spindle, part of a performance in which the photographs are stacked by hand, one on top of the other, while the turntable runs between 33 and 45 RPM.

Auwald

Audiovisual project, Leipzig,Germany, (2021-2023)

The work combines large-format forest photographs, immersive in scale, with a raw electronic object that plays field-recorded birdsong through headphones. Water and vegetation form the visual axis, while the object's exposed circuitry reflects the same systemic logic. Started in 2021, the project treats image and sound as two states of the same continuous, self-sustaining structure.

Interiors

Groupshow curated by Aaron Stern (New York), Der Greif, Germany (2024).

In 2024, New York-based curator Aaron Stern selected two works for the group exhibition Interiors, presented by Der Greif.

Originally shown as Red Light (La Llotgeta, Valencia, 2013), the project is an intimate sentimental map built from diffuse, everyday  images, collages and handwritten notes scattered across the space, reflecting on loss, vulnerability, absence and affective relationships in the digital age. Rumpled sheets, and fragments of miscommunication trace a melancholic, dreamlike diary of loss more than encounter.
